Attorneys. We have defended attorneys in connection with a variety of claims. Examples include claims concerning lack of prosecution, vicarious responsibility for trust account embezzlement, malicious prosecution, failure to warn a client about another attorney, estate planning, negligent referral, failure to locate a critical witness, trial tactics, supervision of a hotel sale, tax advice, termination of a joint tenancy, statute of limitations, insurance coverage advice, and failure to consummate a settlement.

Accountants. Many of the cases we handle for accountants involve complicated financial transactions and/or sophisticated statistical analyses. We pride ourselves on presenting complex factual circumstances in a comprehensible manner. One of our attorneys has worked with the California Society of CPAs on legislative and risk-management issues as well. He and the executive vice-president of the California Society of CPAs co-authored an article for the Society's journal on the developing area of in-house accountant liability exposure.

Health Care Professionals. We handle cases involving a broad spectrum of health care issues, ranging from the treatment of the mentally ill or developmentally disabled and complex surgical procedures to routine physical therapy procedures. We represent large pharmacy retailers in defending pharmacy malpractice claims. Such cases often involve misdiagnoses of lifethreatening conditions, mis-prescription of medication, pathology, and surgical techniques.

Insurance Agents and Brokers. Because of our twin expertise in insurance coverage and the defense of professionals, we have represented insurance professionals for many years, often dealing with issues of policy availability at the cutting edge of new coverages and risks.
